The "Rubin" brand televisions are a strange creation of Soviet engineering. Generally, these were televisions produced in factories near Moscow, with the charming name Rubin. Yes, they were not very inventive and original in terms of the name. On the other hand, televisions, first black and white (since 1956) and then color, are a completely different subject. They became most famous as devices for heating homes. Sometimes they heated so much that the Fire Department had to intervene and extinguish the burning televisions together with the surroundings and owners. Despite this, it was a very desirable commodity during the existence of the USSR, especially since the factories near Moscow exported televisions to as many as 65 countries. In Poland, in the early seventies, production of a licensed version of a color television began, under the name Rubin 707 (still on Soviet parts), which was later changed to Rubin-714p (on Polish components). Oh, they forgot to add that the picture tubes liked to implode. Watching TV used to be a risky form of entertainment, or at least that's what the owners of "Rubiny" say.
The set includes: soviet "Rubin" TV set, decals, table.
